KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a Solar Solution Engineer with strong technical acumen and client-centric thinking. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our technical capabilities and the real-world needs of clients. You will design and optimize solar power systems—both technically and financially—while working closely with the sales team to tailor solutions that truly meet customer objectives.

Technical (60–70%)

-      Design solar PV systems (rooftop, hybrid, agrivoltaics…) using tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Homer.

-      Conduct site assessments and analyze irradiance, shading, and structural factors.

-      Develop financial models to evaluate return on investment (ROI), Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE), and payback periods.

-      Optimize existing solar designs for performance, cost, and compliance with local regulations and grid codes.

-      Stay updated with the latest in solar technologies, inverters, batteries, and balance-of-system components.

-      Coordinate with the Project Engineering and O&M teams to ensure technical alignment through execution.

Solution Consulting (30–40%)

-      Collaborate with sales and business development teams to understand customer goals, site constraints, and industry-specific needs.

-      Translate technical analysis into compelling, understandable proposals and presentations for clients.

-      Engage directly with end clients to explain system performance, financial benefits, and technical trade-offs.

-      Provide technical support during client meetings, RFPs, and negotiations.

-      Identify upsell or value-engineering opportunities based on client pain points.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

-      Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.

-      2+ years of experience in solar PV system design, EPC, or pre-sales engineering.

-      Proficiency in design and simulation tools (PVsyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Excel).

-      Strong grasp of solar system economics, including CAPEX, OPEX, tariff structures, and carbon credit opportunities.

-      Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.

-      Customer-first mindset and solution-oriented approach.

-      Vietnamese and English fluency preferred (technical English level).

Nice to Have

-      Familiarity with energy storage and hybrid systems.

-      Experience with utility-scale or C&I (Commercial & Industrial) solar projects.

-      Knowledge of permitting and regulatory processes in Vietnam or SE Asia.
